Using MDOS

The supplied D80 image is inserted into drive A at startup. MDOS initializes automatically after reset; enter disk commands directly in BASIC. SNAP saves the complete current machine state to the active writable disk as SNAPSHOT00 through SNAPSHOT99, then resumes the program.

The 8255 is addressed at 1Fh (A), 3Fh (B), 5Fh (C) and 7Fh (control). Choose the wiring expected by the printer driver: the Didaktik connection reads status on A and writes control on B; the UR-4 connection shares port C, with its lower nibble driving the printer and upper nibble returning sensors.
